Game Drives & Viewing

Gorilla Tracking
Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks are Gorilla parks
that contain the 50% of all mountain gorillas and gorilla tracking is a main
country attraction. Tracking permits in Uganda cost US$ 500 for non residents
and US dollars 475 for East Africa residents.
Chimpanzee Tracking
The chimpanzees are the closest relatives to man, sharing 98% of their DNAs
with humans. Chimpanzee tracking now days has attracted several
visitors to Uganda. Important sites are in Kibale Forest, Budongo forest and
Kyambura gorge in Kibale, Murchison and Queen Elizabeth National Parks respectively.
Forest Walks
Uganda is endowed with great forest resources and forest walks are major
attractions. Forests such as Busitema, Mabira, Budongo and Mpanga are
ideal ecotourism sites for birding and forest walks. Canopy walks are also
being planned soon in Budongo forest and Kyambura gorge.
Mountain Climbing
Mountaineering is important activity in Uganda. Many visitors come to climb
the Rwenzori Mountains, Mountain Elgon with volcanoes Muhavura and
Sabinyo offers rare opportunity to clients to be at three countries of Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda at the same time, up in the clouds.
White Water Rafting
The mighty River Nile is the longest river in the World with Lake Victoria as
the main source. Right from the sources, the Victoria Nile provides rafting
adventure through rafting and bungee jumping. The white water rafting,
cruises and the fantastic country side beauty are fascinating and worthwhile
for visitor experience.
The Ssesse islands
This is an archipelago of 84 islands in the Lake Victoria, rich with lowland
tropical forests. Its ideal for honey mooners. Who can enjoy birding, canoeing, boating and sand beaching, in addition to spot fishing. Forest walks are also possible on the numerous forested islands.
Cultural Attractions:
These are major cultural landmarks and attractions which include; Kasubi
and Mparo Tombs, a burial place to former Kings (the Kabaka of Buganda
and Omukama of Bunyoro kingdoms respectively). Other site includes the
Uganda Museum, the Bahai Temple, Wamala Tombs, the Namugongo Shrines.
