Hot Air Balloon Ride Over the Serengeti, Tanzania

Dur­ing this 10 days Tan­za­nia North­ern cir­cuit safari is one of the best and amaz­ing safaris that most vis­i­tors com­ing to Africa and most­ly in Tan­za­nia while on their vis­it to this con­ti­nent. The safari will begin from Kil­i­man­jaro inter­na­tion­al air­port from where you will trans­fer to Arusha and be trans­ferred to your hotel wait­ing for your sec­ond trans­fer to Tarangire Nation­al Park for  your full day game dri­ve then after, you’ll have a road trip to Man­yara Nation­al Park for a game dri­ve After which head to Serengeti Nation­al Park and then to Ngoron­goro con­ser­va­tion area where you will spend a night there in the tent­ed camps and descend to Kibati post for pick­up by your dri­ver guide and dri­ve back to the air­port wait­ing for the flight.

Detailed Itin­er­ary

Day 1: Arrive in Kilimanjaro

On your arrival at Kil­i­man­jaro inter­na­tion­al air­port, the com­pa­ny rep­re­sen­ta­tive or com­pa­ny dri­ver guide will meet you and take you through a brief­ing about the 15 days Tan­za­nia North­ern cir­cuit safari. There­after, he is going to dri­ve to the hotel of your book­ing in Arusha the cap­i­tal city of Tanzania.

Day 2: Trans­fer to Tarangire Nation­al Park

Wake up in the morn­ing and have your break­fast then dri­ves to Tarangire Nation­al Park also referred to as the ele­phant empire, this park is also known for boost­ing the growth of baobab trees. Have a stopover along the way for a pic­nic lunch then pro­ceed with the jour­ney to Tarangire the dri­ve will take you 2–3 hours. Check in at the hotel for refresh­ments and an option­al evening game drive.

Day 3: Full-day game drive

Today, be up from your beds, enjoy break­fast pack your lunch and dri­ve to Tarangire head­quar­ters where the game dri­ve will begin from. The game dri­ve in this Park will leave you behind know­ing pri­mates like olive baboons, varvet mon­keys and many oth­ers, and ante­lope species like water­bucks, elands, and impala to men­tion but a few.

Oth­er wildlife to have a look at are ele­phants, giraffes, giant gazelles, lions, chee­tahs, African wild dogs, dik-diks,  hon­ey bad­gers and sev­er­al oth­ers. Even birds will not be missed since it hosts over 500 species. Move back to the lodge.

Day 4: Road trip to Manyara

Be served a deli­cious break­fast in the morn­ing then a road trip to Mto wa mbu for cul­tur­al encoun­ters and be very well enter­tained with their cul­tur­al dances then after the cul­tur­al expe­ri­ence embarks on your jour­ney to lake Man­yara Nation­al Park where the rare tree climb­ing lions can be found. Check in at the hotel for late lunch and relax in the evening as you enjoy the beau­ti­ful scenery of the park.

Day 5: Lake Man­yara to Serengeti Nation­al Park

After enjoy­ing break­fast in the morn­ing, head for a game dri­ve in lake Man­yara Nation­al Park and you will have a look at the rare tree-climb­ing lions, hip­pos, giraffes and birds like King­fish­ers, pel­i­cans, and flamin­gos among oth­ers. Return to the lodge for lunch and then check out from the lodge and dri­ve to Serengeti nation­al Park where the wilde­beest migra­tions take place.

Day 6–7: Serengeti Nation­al Park

Fol­low­ing break­fast, you are going to head for a game dri­ve in Serengeti nation­al Park. While on the game dri­ve in this park, ani­mals like lions, ele­phants, and leop­ards and the most tourist attrac­tion are the wilde­beest migra­tions in the dry months when the lev­els of water in Mara Riv­er have reduced. You can also opt to do hot air bal­loon­ing while in Serengeti nation­al Park and you are only giv­en one hour in the air as you enjoy good views of the wildlife and birdlife as well as breath­tak­ing scenery.

Day 8: Dri­ve to the Ngoron­goro con­ser­va­tion area

Hav­ing enjoyed break­fast at the lodge, check out and dri­ve to the Ngoron­goro con­ser­va­tion area also called the black hole by the local Masai peo­ple.  This area is hav­ing 9 crater lakes includ­ing Lake Mag­a­di which is a soda lake with a high con­cen­tra­tion of birds on the shores.  It is also a home for sev­er­al ani­mals includ­ing the big five animals.

Day 9: Full day in Ngorongoro

Today, have break­fast and head for a game dri­ve in the lush green veg­e­ta­tion of their area. You will spot the black rhi­nos, lions, leop­ards, zebras, gazelles, har­te­beests, and hip­pos in the pools as they pro­tect their skins from direct sun­light, elands and much more wildlife since this area is hav­ing the high­est con­cen­tra­tion of wildlife in the whole of Africa.  Also, teach Lake Mag­a­di and the two archae­o­log­i­cal sites in the world.

Day 10: Fly back

Wake up on this relax­ing day, enjoy your last African break­fast then dri­ve back to the air­port for your flight back home.
