Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kilimanjaro
On your arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, the company representative or company driver guide will meet you and take you through a briefing about the 15 days Tanzania Northern circuit safari. Thereafter, he is going to drive to the hotel of your booking in Arusha the capital city of Tanzania.
Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast then drives to Tarangire National Park also referred to as the elephant empire, this park is also known for boosting the growth of baobab trees. Have a stopover along the way for a picnic lunch then proceed with the journey to Tarangire the drive will take you 2–3 hours. Check in at the hotel for refreshments and an optional evening game drive.
Day 3: Full-day game drive
Today, be up from your beds, enjoy breakfast pack your lunch and drive to Tarangire headquarters where the game drive will begin from. The game drive in this Park will leave you behind knowing primates like olive baboons, varvet monkeys and many others, and antelope species like waterbucks, elands, and impala to mention but a few.
Other wildlife to have a look at are elephants, giraffes, giant gazelles, lions, cheetahs, African wild dogs, dik-diks, honey badgers and several others. Even birds will not be missed since it hosts over 500 species. Move back to the lodge.
Day 4: Road trip to Manyara
Be served a delicious breakfast in the morning then a road trip to Mto wa mbu for cultural encounters and be very well entertained with their cultural dances then after the cultural experience embarks on your journey to lake Manyara National Park where the rare tree climbing lions can be found. Check in at the hotel for late lunch and relax in the evening as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park.
Day 5: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After enjoying breakfast in the morning, head for a game drive in lake Manyara National Park and you will have a look at the rare tree-climbing lions, hippos, giraffes and birds like Kingfishers, pelicans, and flamingos among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and then check out from the lodge and drive to Serengeti national Park where the wildebeest migrations take place.
Day 6–7: Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, you are going to head for a game drive in Serengeti national Park. While on the game drive in this park, animals like lions, elephants, and leopards and the most tourist attraction are the wildebeest migrations in the dry months when the levels of water in Mara River have reduced. You can also opt to do hot air ballooning while in Serengeti national Park and you are only given one hour in the air as you enjoy good views of the wildlife and birdlife as well as breathtaking scenery.
Day 8: Drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area
Having enjoyed breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area also called the black hole by the local Masai people. This area is having 9 crater lakes including Lake Magadi which is a soda lake with a high concentration of birds on the shores. It is also a home for several animals including the big five animals.
Drive and check in at the lodge.
Day 9: Full day in Ngorongoro
Today, have breakfast and head for a game drive in the lush green vegetation of their area. You will spot the black rhinos, lions, leopards, zebras, gazelles, hartebeests, and hippos in the pools as they protect their skins from direct sunlight, elands and much more wildlife since this area is having the highest concentration of wildlife in the whole of Africa. Also, teach Lake Magadi and the two archaeological sites in the world.
Day 10: Fly back
Wake up on this relaxing day, enjoy your last African breakfast then drive back to the airport for your flight back home.
