Day 1: City tour & Akagera National Park
You will begin your day with a hefty breakfast at a hotel in Kigali, and after, leave for city tour. On Kigali city tour, expect to spend at least 2 hours and you will pay a visit to Gisozi genocide site, city markets, former presidential palace, art centers, etc. Later, settle for a leisurely lunch and followed by transfer to Akagera National Park in Eastern Rwanda, which is 2.5 hours’ drive in your 4x4 tourist vehicle.
Day 2: Full day experience at Akagera- game drive, boat cruise tour
Begin with a game drive early in the morning with an experienced driver guide, and you will be exploring the rich Northern game trails of Akagera. Expected morning game drives range from impalas, zebras, topis, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, birds, roan antelopes, warthogs, and more. Have plenty of time to take pictures, and then get back to relax at the lodge, and have lunch.
