Your 5 days Rwan­da Ugan­da dou­ble goril­la trek safari will be the most inter­est­ing one because you will trek goril­las twice and from dif­fer­ent coun­tries that is Ugan­da and Rwan­da in Ugan­da, you are going to trek goril­las from Bwin­di Impen­e­tra­ble nation­al Park and in Rwan­da, you will trek goril­las from vol­ca­noes nation­al Park.

Detailed Itin­er­ary

Day 1: Arrive in Kigali and dri­ve to vol­ca­noes nation­al park

When you land at Kigali Inter­na­tion­al air­port, you are going to meet the allo­cat­ed dri­ver guide who will brief you and then dri­ve you out of Kigali to vol­ca­noes nation­al Park the home of moun­tain goril­las. Vol­ca­noes Nation­al Park is locat­ed in the North East­ern part of Rwan­da on the bor­der of Ugan­da and the Demo­c­ra­t­ic Repub­lic of Con­go. Arrive and check-in at the lodge.

Day 2: Goril­la trekking in vol­ca­noes nation­al park

Wake up very ear­ly in the morn­ing have break­fast at the lodge then get your packed lunch and trans­fer to vol­ca­noes nation­al Park head­quar­ters in Kini­gi for a brief­ing and per­mit pay­ments. After all that, you will be giv­en a Park ranger guide who is well armed to guide you through the trails up to your allo­cat­ed goril­la family.

When you reach your allo­cat­ed goril­la group, one hour will be giv­en to you to watch the moun­tain goril­las groom each oth­er, feed, the young ones play with their moth­ers. You will enjoy your lunch from the Bush then move back to the lodge to look at pri­mates, mam­mals and birds.

Day 3: Cross to Uganda

Today, have break­fast then pack your lug­gage and dri­ve out of Rwan­da to Ugan­da with good views of nat­ur­al phys­i­cal fea­tures like hills and moun­tains. Cross the bor­der Cyani­ka bor­der to the south­ern part of Bwin­di impen­e­tra­ble nation­al Park which is also a home for moun­tain goril­las.  Check in at the hotel, relax and spend your night at the lodge as you warm up for Ugan­da goril­la trekking day.

Day 4: Goril­la trekking in Bwin­di impen­e­tra­ble nation­al Park

On this day, wake up have break­fast and dri­ve to the park head­quar­ters where you will be briefed and then led to the jun­gle to look for moun­tain goril­las. Trekking for these hum­ble apes takes about 1–8 hours depend­ing on the move­ments of these goril­las. Once you come in touch with the goril­las, you will be giv­en one hour to watch them do their dai­ly behaviours.

Day 5: Dri­ve to Kam­pala and fly

With break­fast in the morn­ing, you will car­ry your lug­gage and dri­ve to Kam­pala Inter­na­tion­al air­port with a stopover at the equa­tor in Kayab­we where you will spend a moment tak­ing pho­tos and have a look at some exper­i­ments. When you reach Kam­pala fly back home.
